How to Apply and Due Date
If you want to apply for financial aid, please complete the financial aid application at the same time as your child’s application for admission.
Financial aid applications are due on March 1, as are applications for admission. Families who complete the financial aid application on or before March 1 will receive full consideration for financial aid. Late applications are accepted, but will be reviewed after the applications received by the deadline.
The financial aid committee and the admissions committee are separate. A family’s demonstrated need will not impact admission decisions as students are admitted based on their academic and extracurricular qualifications.
All inquiries, applications, and supporting documentation with regard to financial aid are held in the strictest confidence.
| Demonstrating Financial Need
RHSM awards financial aid based on a family’s demonstrated financial need. To demonstrate need a family must complete the financial aid application. A portion of the application process includes completing the on-line or paper version of the Parent’s Financial Statement (PFS) (PFS instructions / PFS worksheet) and submitting it to School and Student Services (SSS). SSS is a financial aid service within the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS).
The financial aid application process requires a family to submit complete federal tax returns, W-2’s, the SSS Business/Farm Statement, and the RHSM Financial Aid Application form which provides families an opportunity to explain additional circumstances that should be taken into consideration.
