3 Year
Olds
Teachers introduce the beginning scientific skills
of observing, predicting, questioning, experimenting,
and inventing (plants, science journals). Children
use tools to investigate (hand lenses, scales, sensory
table.)

4 Year Olds
Students strengthen skills of observation, investigation,
inquiry, prediction, experimentation, invention, and
interpretation. They study cause and effect, the seasons,
weather, human senses, the skeleton, and plants.

Kindergarten
Kindergarten students continue to develop the scientific
skills of observing, predicting, questioning, experimenting,
and learn to record scientific findings. They study
seasonal changes, the solar system, insects and
spiders, animals in winter, color, light, and air.
They explore topics arising from their own scientific
interests and learn to keep and record data.
