Service Learning is an extension of students’ curriculum
as well as a means for students to increase understanding
of their larger community and their roles and responsibilities
within. Issues students address
through their service projects as they progress through
the Lower
School include: treatment of animals, the environment
and recycling, hunger and poverty, protection of birds
and habitat, and reforestation..
Some of the agencies
with whom the Lower School students work include the
Utah Food Bank, Tree Utah, Best Friends, and Tracy
Aviary
