| Our Upper School
students (grades 9-12) participate in service
learning through student led clubs or as part of a class. Student
clubs at RHSM include Amnesty International, Community
Service Council, Interact, National Honors Society, and
foreign language clubs. These organizations are always
seeking community projects for their members to do as
a small or large group. Approximately half of our Upper
School students are involved in at least one service learning club.

Courses that include a service learning
component include AP Spanish and Spanish 2, AP English,
US history, English literature, senior math applications,
health, and ethics. Our Upper School students work
with the largest number of agencies in our community
ranging from the Salvation Army to Kids’ Café to
No More Homeless Pets. In addition to direct service,
many of our students are advocates for issues and concerns
of interest to them.
