In keeping with the school’s mission to “develop students who will lead productive and ethical lives,” RHSM offers a diverse service program. The program includes service learning in which service and advocacy is integrated into grade level and course curriculum, community service volunteer opportunities for students and their families, Upper School service clubs, and service projects initiated by students. From the Beginning School through the Upper School, students are involved in age-appropriate service activities with other children, senior citizens, recent immigrant populations, animals and the environment. The overall objectives for our students as they participate in our service program is to recognize how as young people they can be agents of change and to develop a lifelong commitment to service and community involvement.

For Non-Profit Agencies: Creating Partnerships Between Your Agency and RHSM
Our students and teachers are always seeking new ways to support the work of local organizations in their work. If you have an idea for a service learning unit or have a one-time volunteer opportunity for students, please contact Director of Community Service Liz Paige, at lizpaige@rhsm.org or (801) 355-7494. Liz is your liaison to the RHSM community and will work with you, teachers, and students to create meaningful service experiences for students and your agency.
